Common Questions

There are many questions you may have about medical care but we're here to help answer those for you!
1. What can I expect at a wellness visit?

Wellness visits at St. Mary Neighborhood Health Centers can provide understanding of your overall health. Your provider will evaluate your current health status and discuss any concerns you may have.

A typical wellness visit evaluates your weight, blood pressure, preventative laboratory blood testing, and screening your risk for certain conditions or prevailing health issues. Based on the outcome, you and your physician may develop a custom plan to improve your health.

2. What types of actions might my doctor recommend?

St. Mary Neighborhood Health Centers not only offers guidance and interventions to your concerns but also tailored treatments and therapies to help start your wellness journey.

Sometimes, a simple lifestyle change is all it takes to improve your health and avoid diseases that can lower your quality of life. Unhealthy behaviors such as poor diet, sedentary lifestyles and tobacco use can increase the likelihood of developing conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and some types of cancer. These conditions are largely preventable with early intervention and lifestyle changes.

3. How can I get dental services?
